Honorable Garth Harvey aka “The DNA Man” is a distinguished expert in the DNA testing industry, with over two decades of experience as a Senior DNA and Paternity Testing Relationship Consultant and DNA Sample Collection Specialist. He received certifications from Chromosomal DNA Laboratories (now known as Bode Technologies) in late 2003, and from The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association.

As a co-founder of Immigration DNA Testing & Paternity Testing Center (IDTO), Mr. Harvey has been instrumental in creating relationships with AABB accredited laboratories and creating protocols that allow IDTO to maintain compliance with legal DNA testing guidelines. These protocols allow IDTO to provide fast, accurate, and court-admissible DNA test results to individuals and families nationwide, while also assisting immigrant families with their DNA testing needs for immigration visa and CRBA cases.
Garth Harvey’s Literary Work
Mr. Harvey’s expertise in the field is further exemplified by his authorship of the book “Know Before They Grow (Paternity Testing Guide) published in 2018,” which serves as a comprehensive resource for those seeking information about the paternity testing process. Drawing upon his extensive industry experience and partnerships with accredited DNA relationship parentage laboratories, the book provides readers with valuable insights and guidance on paternity testing compliance.
Garth Harvey’s Community Involvement
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Harvey has been actively involved in local politics and community governance. He served on Manhattan Community Board #2, supporting former Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields with her re-election campaign in 2005. Mr. Harvey was a member of the business and education boards in lower Manhattan from 2004-2007, contributing his expertise to these influential local bodies.
Mr. Harvey’s Philanthropic Endeavors
Alongside his work in the DNA testing industry and community involvement, Mr. Harvey is passionate about giving back to communities globally and locally. In 2011, he spearheaded a trip to Cambodia to supply orphan children with school supplies, demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Moreover, in 2008, Mr. Harvey donated his time to the Young Fathers Program in Newark, NJ, where he provided valuable insights into being sexually responsible to young boys and girls. His philanthropic efforts also extend to the arts, as he donated a sculpture to the Chicago Tribune to help raise money for a photography school art program, ensuring that children have access to the necessary supplies to pursue their creative passions.
In late 2004, he was awarded an appreciation certificate from the Be Safe At Home Inc. & Inter American University (An Institutional Member of the United Nations). That came about from his contribution in raising funds for senior citizens in the US and children in orphanages in third world countries.
Garth Harvey’s Creative Side
In addition to his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Mr. Harvey is a talented sculptor and creator. He has developed a unique style called MUR Geometry and has crafted custom Bamboo Energy Pyramids, known as MUR Bamboo Pyramids. These creative pursuits showcase his versatility and ability to express himself through various mediums.
